Dr. Dugan is a gerontologist and noted researcher. She is on the faculty of the University of Massachusetts Boston, the McCormack Graduate School of Policy Studies, in the Department of Gerontology. She is a Fellow of the UMB Gerontology Institute. She has a MA in gerontology and a PhD in Human Development & Family Studies. Her research has been supported by the AARP Andrus Foundation, the National Institute on Aging, the National Eye Institute, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Retirement Research Foundation, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
